Anyone know which variants they have here in the US and where I can see a list of the various versions? Also. I have not had a .40 but know they can pack quite a whallop. I would like to get the P2000SK to carry but also have it as an enjoyable shooter (I am a smaller person with small hands) Should I go with the 9 mm or the .40? I already have a Beretta 92F & HK P7M8 in 9 mm but neither are ideal for the type of carry I want. |

IIRC, the 2000 comes in only one varient but don't take that as gospel. Check out H&Ks web site, IMO. Personally, I suggest a 9mm so you can buy one case of ammo for several guns. The .40 is a solution looking for a problem, IMO. +P or even +P+ solves any concerns you might have about a 9mm. My .o2 |

OK still want to hear your thoughts on 9 mm or 40 in the HK P2000SK but just had to say I was at the store and they had one in stock. It felt GREAT in my hands, the salesman like the gun and just pointed out some who like the P2000 end up going with a baby Glock as some find it more comfortable and a little more compact (he loves HK but as he is former LE he is partial to Glock) I asked to hold the Glock and hands down H&K! It was made for my small hands no question about it! Oh yes from what I understand two versions... LE DAO and DA SA with no safety but a decocker. I am not sure if the second is out or not as I have heard its here or it will be real soon. |

Woops, I did not see you were referring to the SK when I posted what is below. I have not seen any listing to any variants available in the SK. I put up a complete list of the varients available in the P2k over at HKPRO in answer to your question there. Short version. V1 DAO light pull ~ 5 pounds V2 DAO heavy pull ~ 8 pounds V3 SA/DA decock only V4 DAO mid pull ~ 6 pounds The only difference between V2 and V1 and V4 are the spring combinations of the trigger return spring and the firing pin block spring. I replaced the firing pin block spring in my V2 (~8.5 pounds) and the pull dropped to around ~7.5 pounds. Replaced the trigger return spring and the pull dropped to ~5.5 pounds. Replaced the hammer spring with a Wolff 10 pound and the pull dropped to 4.0 pounds. |
