i disassemble it, wipe everything down with a bandanna, and use Remington gun oil  ONLY on the parts of the slide and frame that contact, and light coating on the feed ramp.

Iv been doing this since the day i got it. 1300 rounds of Walmart bulk ammo and a couple hundred rounds of mini-mags later its still going strong. only problems iv ever had were  a couple failure to fires from a few defective rounds of Federal bulk crap. wasn't a light strike either. it mashed the rim good, and the primer still failed. i tend not to buy Federal anymore, but it cycles bulk ammo from the "Big 3" just fine.

It does well with CCI Mini Mags, but what it really likes is Fiocchi High velocity. they are pretty expensive, (about 8 cents per round compared to the Mini-mags 6 cents) but they are extremely clean burning, and about 30fps faster than the mini mags.
