| Anyone know where you can get some mag base plates for the 220 mags? I got some 7 round mags and want to make them 8 rounds. |
Save some money and pick up the ACT-mags if you don't need to have Sig marked mags for duty. www.topgunsupply.com/Act-Mag-Novak-mid-6.html |
I think you missed the question, With 8 rounds loaded, is there still enough room left in the mag for the top round to be compressed downward to allow the mag to be loaded in against a slide not locked back (read take the pistol to 8 rounds in the mag, and one in the chamber). Also, since the base of the 8 rounder has a higher top lip, with the 8 round base installed on the 7 round factory mag only, is there still a little slop between the base and the bottom of the frame well for predictable mag loading (read my 7 rounders had the flat type steel bases). If the area is too tight, then you can have a bad mag load (not locking in) just short of palm slapping the hell out of the bottom of the mag to issue it's seated/caught by the catch when reloading with the slide still locked home. |
