Am I the only person who can't seem to figure out how to return the locking insert back into the frame without major issues?  It usually takes me 15-20 mins of the 'wiggle and hope' approach. What's the trick guys???

I thought the locking insert had to be installed before the take down lever can be returned to the frame.  The front part of the locking insert has a hole in it that threads the take down lever.  I'm not sure what you're trying to say.  I think my problem is getting the trigger pivot pin to line up correctly with the slots in the locking insert.  I know the pin has slots cut in it for the slots in the locking insert.  If I hold a flashlight up to the assembly, I see where the slots on the pivot pin and the locking insert are close to being lined up, but no matter how much I play with how the trigger pivot pin is turned I can never get the locking insert to engage consistently.  I usually have to fart around with it for 20 mins or so before I tweak it just the right way and then it all slides in to place like magic.  I was wondering if there's a trick to it or does the design frustrate everyone?  Maybe I'm not holding my head the right way or something?

sorry...flubbed it before and you are correct...those slots need to be on a bit on an angle...as the block slides in...

If you can see the way it is oriented when you get the block out...get it oriented just this way for it to slide easier back in...my older P Series pistols had grooves on the side and I used a thumbnail to "clock" the trigger pin so that it closely mated up with the angle of the locking insert as it goes in to the frame...if you have the pin a little "less" than ideally situated...as the locking insert goes into place, it will turn the pin enough for an easier mating of the parts...make sure your pistol is decocked too when replacing the locking block...
