OK, weird comparison I know, but... It seems both are fun to play with, yet always break or need tweaking! I ask because I might have the opportunity to get a P22 pretty dang cheap, and just wanted to confirm that just about every one needed adjusting of some sort?! This pistol would in now way be used for defense...pure play. I do enjoy tinkering with machinery, and am really looking forward to some NFA toys... Are we the "perfect match"?

Mine has not yet needed adjusting of any kind, and has yet to jam, or malfunction at all. The older ones had issues, but the new ones are problem free in my experience. Just make sure the numbers in the magazine have the letter A after the numbers, and you should be fine. Check out the torture test thread. The people who bitch and moan probably have one of the older ones, or a lemon. You shouldnt let them fill you with mis-information that ALL P22s are bad. I love mine. Its definately fun to play with. |
| My P22 has not had a failure of any kind in the year + that I've owned it. Fun as hell to shoot, and it looks pretty bad-ass with the new laser on it. I have the olive drab frame, and I am most likely going to get the black and silver one also, because my girl loves that color combo. |
