Any experience with this gun? Very interested in one, found a dealer that has them for $799. Is that a good price? Looking at .40 SW caliber.
Is it worth the extra $$$ over the standard P239 .40? thanks, skink |
| I wouldn't pay extra for SAS. If you are putting the gun in a holster it doesn't matter if they round off the slide. What does matter is that the melt treatment gives you less grip on the slide for reloads/malfunctions. If you carry without a holster next to your skin it might make a difference, but the standard sigs are pretty smooth anyway. And 799 is super high for a 239. Under 700 is more realistic. |

The basic 239 is under 700. I have been eyeing that one up as well. Good point on the holster observation. Also, from what I find, the mags are around $45 a pop. Damn, for German steel?!? I am seriously thinking about adjusting my options.
Appreciate the feedback, skink |
| I have the P239 SAS Gen 2 in 40SW. Great gun but you can do better than $799. I bought mine for $720, and that was for the two-tone with night sights. If you are going to carry with a good concealment holster, go with the standard P239, don't spend the extra money. But it does shoot dead on. I hope this helps. |
