I'm new to HK and also Polymer frame pistols!
When my friend bought a glock 22 back in the mid 80`S . he took the slide off and showed me the rails and locking block. I took my P30 apart and saw the metal rails but didn't see anything that looked like a locking block. I was thinking that most pistols plastic or aluminum frames would have a locking block? So how did HK get around it? |

Ok, the big difference is one is a striker fired gun the HK and others are hammer fired. HK, CZ etc.. follow the John Browning tilting barrel method and therefore use a pin across the frame and through the barrel lug. The part that holds the gun all together is #45. http://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/catalog/P30-parts-diagram.png I thought hammer fired had something to do with it. Until I found the FNX 9mm has a locking block and hammer fired. |
