Hey guys,
I've been trying to replicate Shannon Smith's grip on my P30. Basically it is the most common hand gun grip for competition shooters: weak hand thumb forward and locked wrist. Here is his video instruction, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJrA7wMXuuQ This grip was awesome. I was able to get bursts of two shots on target. But the big problem is that this grip will shut my slide after the last round. The slide drops on an empty chamber. Subsequently, I have to cycle the slide during reload. I bought this gun for competitions so this has to be fixed! Maybe a harder slide release spring? I've only had 1200 rounds through it so it's pretty much brand new. Let me know!! |
| I use that and I have never had an issue. If your weak hand is riding down on the slide stop you will have to move it down some. I use the large frame profile so that is the most natural placement anyway. If it is your thumb pushing on the release let it rest on your hand rather than your gun. |
