At long last, (crappy) pictures of my P45 Covert. I loved my P45 but always thought it looked and felt unbalanced. I sent it off to Accurate-Iron for a grip chop to convert it to PM45 mags. Being that the grip is the hardest part of a gun to conceal, I believe this is a worthwhile mod. You get a shorter, more concealable grip of the PM45, combined with the longer barrel and sighting length of the P45. It fits my hand perfectly. Here you can see a P45 mag inserted. Notice approximately half an inch was removed from the grip. P45 mags can be used and I carry one as a spare to give me one more round if I need a reload.  Here is a PM45 mag inserted. I think it makes the gun look more balanced.  Fits my medium sized hands perfectly!  |
