I finally bought a P45 last weekend and took it out this afternoon.  This is my first small frame .45, and recoil is very snappy, but manageable.  Accuracy is good, but I have to be very deliberate or else I pull everything low.  I suppose I will get used to it and my speed will get better.  I had one failure to feed, and one failure to lock open on an empty mag.  Overall, I like it, and think it will become my primary cary piece...but I need a few more hundred rounds through it first.  That is all.

ur getting there, Kahr recommends 200 rounds before getting excited about any issues.  You don't seem to have any that more rounds won't cure either. You will get used to the trigger. It is loooong but so smooth.  Alittle trigger discipline is needed to shoot a kahr good. I dont shoot either of my two kahrs as good as I shoot my Smith MP9 or my glock 19 but also neither can ride in my front pocket like the PM9 can.  Nice hangun the P45...very nice.

+1

The 200 break in period is still just a recommendation.

I've had a few hundred through my P45, took it out the other day and had one stovepipe...my wife was shooting at the time. I have not had a jam so I'm attributing this one to limpwristing. If it does it on me, I'll change my mind. Obviously you'll want to run a few boxes of your carry ammunition through it to check function, POI, and accuracy. Don't forget to add a Hogue Hand-all Jr. Grip and you're set!

The P45 is a fantastic pistol for carry. They don't get any smaller in a big bore, with the same capacity as the small 1911's.

I've been able to dial my groups (entire magazine) from 3.9"  to less than 2.5" at 20yds standing. I'm sure with more work and as the springs and trigger smooth out, I'll touch under 2.25". I've been using Tetra Conditioning lubricants on my P45 (inside and out, frame rails included) and it's really getting smooth.

BTW, Porsche, where in Indiana are you? I'm in Lafayette.
