This is my second P45 (the original replaced due to problems that could not be resolved) I now am having problems with the new gun, with the last round fired. Instead of ejecting, it is being partially dragged back into the magazine by the extractor causing the slide to come forward.  The case mouth then gets crushed by the slide. This happened with 3 different types of ammo and 4 different mags. Sometimes the case escapes the slide and the slide will close but the case mouth is still damaged.  The rate of failure is a little over 30%.  My first P45 was sent back to Kahr 5 times. I will bring this to the dealer next week and how they want to handle it. Needless to say I am very disappointed.

Make sure your magazine is seated fully.

I have found that my P45 will do that if the magazine isn't fully seated.

It looks like it is, but I have to slap it in to make sure it's completely in. You won't have to do it forever, it will break in.

The magazine wasn't catching the slide stop which was causing to slide to come forward after the last round.

The mags were fully seated and the mag catch was fully engaged each time. I did a string of test firings loading only one round in each mag. 56 rounds 17 failures.

I have the same problem...Post the answer you receive....Kahr sent me a couple of new mags that supposedly had "improved" followers.. The gun still does it.

I have considered shortening one side of the mag lip to see if that will help, just haven't tried it yet.

Hey Steve
I sent the P45 back to Kahr (through the dealer) They paid for shipping both ways. I got it back in a week with a Service report that said.
"POLISHED SLIDE, FEED RAMP, EXTRACTOR, FIXED TRIGGER PIN SPRING, REPLACED SLIDE STOP SPRING ASSY TEST FIRED OK"
I've yet to get it to the range to "TEST FIRE" it myself. It seems that all I do with the Kahr is burn ammo to see if it runs right instead of focusing on training.  Hope I get a chance this weekend. I'll post a follow up.

Cheers
Joe
