I tried a search but did not find this topic.  If it has been covered before please point me to the thread.  I have a P95 and I am looking to get some standard capacity (not reduced) mags for it.  I picked up one at a local hardware store for a good price but every where else wants an arm and a leg.  Where is the best (least expensive) place to buy the mags.

I have also heard that the P89 mags will work as well.  Is this true?  Are there any good aftermarket mags available.  I remember reading several years ago to avoid the aftermarkets.  Thanks for your time.

Some P-85, P-85MKII, and early P-89's had a magazine catch that was shaped differently and was 1mm lower than all current ones (late 1993 through 2009 P-89's, all P-93's, 9mm P-94's, and P-95's).

The only aftermarket Ruger magazines I would trust would be ones from Mec–Gar.

Ruger Factory 15 shot magazines are $38.50, MSRP.  You can find them for $29 to $32.

Mec-Gar's are $5 cheaper.

Cheaper Than Dirt has Ruger factory magazines for $31.97.  CDNN has the same magazines for $24.99.

WIdener's MecGar page for Rugers.

It appears they have 15, 17, and 20-rounders in stock.  Prices from $18.20 to $22.50.

The MecGars work, but for $1 or $2 more you can get factory mags @ Midway. There were 2 factory mags in EE yesterday for $25 ea shipped.

The MecGar 17rd magazines fit flush.

Cheaper, hold two more rounds, same size and are just as reliable as the factory mags, what's not to love?
