Just what fits on the rail? I mean, I know what it's for, but just who makes what that will fit? Am I correct in my understanding that it is a Walther proprietary rail, so HK stuff won't fit? Are the rails different between the S&W and the Walther (they sure look it)? Ross |

I just picked up my Walther P99QA, and while I was at the dealer, I saw a Springfield Armory taclight, which fit perfectly on the rail. Apparently, these were just introduced, and I haven't found one for sale for less than $100 or so, and I can't even remember the model number. As a rule, the rails are a standard width, so almost anything will fit as far as the width goes, but the problem is depth. Glock accessories are too long to fit the P99 and subsequently hit the finger gaurd before locking into place. As soon as SA makes a light + laser combo, I'm all over it. |
