| i bought a P9 about 3 weeks ago and, knowing about the break in period, i took it to the range to put some rounds through it. the first two mags went without a single hiccup. however, after that i started having FTF's on the 5th round of each mag. sometimes the 5th, 6th, and 7th (and 8th on the 8 rounder) rounds would have FTF's. i shot 150 rounds the first outing, took it home and cleaned it. more recently i shot another 100 rounds through it and again, it fired the first couple of mags without any malfs and then occasionally the 5th round would FTF. it happened less than the first outing, but i'm wondering if fouling is causing the FTF or do i need to shoot it some more? what say you ARFCOM? |

How about maybe polishing the feed ramp to a nice mirror finish, and greasing the slide rails, and trying it again. It sounds to me that it is srtarting to shoot itself in propelry. Maybe just that your gun is taking longer to mate up and get right. You might wanto take apart your magazines and check things out to be sure all is well there to.. Get a good grip on the gun and just give itmore rounds. It might take another couple hundred in ur case to get right.
Shoot regular fmj ammo until the gun is right, don't mess with the high price defense ammo until you feel the gun is reliable, then go to your defense round and test it out. My bet is that a good feed ramp polish and some grease on the rails anr use the kahr lube chart on this fourm as your guide and ur kahr will be OK. |

polished the feed ramp and i'm still getting FTF's. my buddy has a P9 that's 100% and i tried his mags in mine to make sure it wasn't a mag problem. i had FTF's with his mags too. looks like i'm gonna have to send it back to Kahr. ETA: it now has almost 500 rds through it. |
