Hi all,

I have an "older" P9 with the bulky slide stop. My girlfriend recently bought a new K9 and the difference between the slide stops on both pistols is huge. I like the new-style slide stop A LOT!

Are these parts interchangable between the 2 pistols? I would love to stick one of these on my P9. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Derek

According to the Manual (available under downloads at http://www.kahr.com/front.html )The slide stop is universal for all models . Just picked up a new P9094N ,its been broken in with PMC Starfires and Speer GD +P .Nary a FTF/FTE . Very impressive bug to the 1911 .

I tried to installl a new K9 slide stop in my P9 and it's not a match.

Got this reply from Dottie:

"There has been no redesign of the slide stop.  The P9 and K9 slide stops are quite different.  The K9 slide stop is made to the NYPD specifications.

I guess I don't understand.  My first Kahr, a P40, that I've had several years, came with a thicker slide stop lever.  The levers were redesigned awhile later which reduced some of their  bulk.  I called Kahr (a few years ago) and had them send me one; it was an exact fit, just slimmer.
