The Swartz system has nothing to do with the extractor. It is a firing pin block that is disengaged by the grip safety.

Thank you for the correction. I do not have the controversial external extractor that I thought was common on series II pistols. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong though. After all I am here to educate myself. (no sarcasm intended).

The external extractor was started early in the series II years, but they ditched it after a few years because it was a catastrophic failure, and went back to the internal extractor. There are still plenty external extractor Kimbers out there, buyer beware.
