Target Elite II But built like a series I handgun ie. no swartz style extractor never had a problem yet. I have run mostly cheap ammo through it. (S&B)

The Swartz system has nothing to do with the extractor. It is a firing pin block that is disengaged by the grip safety.

Thank you for the correction. I do not have the controversial external extractor that I thought was common on series II pistols. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong though. After all I am here to educate myself. (no sarcasm intended).

The external extractor was started early in the series II years, but they ditched it after a few years because it was a catastrophic failure, and went back to the internal extractor. There are still plenty external extractor Kimbers out there, buyer beware.

heres something you wont see everyday
  my kimbers finish started rusting 3 weeks after i started carrying it so i had it hard chromed.. accurate plating in alabama did an amazing job!! |

I just picked this one up today, have not even chambered a round yet. I sure love the way it feels, very natural lie it's at home. I actually bought this magazine a couple days prior to purchasing the SIS Custom 11 RL. After reading about the Kimber's, I could not stand it any longer. It had to be ( MEANT TO BE ) because my local firearms dealer just happen to have the (1) I wanted. How often does that happen? And they had some Chip mcCormick Magazine's to, so I grabed a couple of them also. I know the picture I posted looks like a advertisment but me & my Nikon have a Kimber Photo Shoot
