| I am looking into buying one of these, but i have heard/read/seen/ the "early sn#'s having alot of issues. Does anyone know what SN#'s are on the more reliable side? |

not sure if that is really true, but if u looking for a new one the latest serial#'s out is IAxxxxxxx
ine is VC and has 19,000 rounds through it andenver one issue, and it is 2 years old, so VC, VD and IA wold be more thqan acceptable. Ifyou buy new you get a 5 year warranty on it, so any issues thatmight pop up, Kahr will take care of them. Good advice: Ifyou get a new one come on this fourm for advice, alot of these guys know the insdies andouts of these kahrs and can help one alot, if they only ask. Basically if one READS THE KAHR MANUAL and does what THEY tell you to do, you will have no issues. I think the most commetns from new owners are that they say when racking the slide on a loaded magazine that the first round might hang up. YUP, that is true to, and thatis why kahr specifically tells you in the manualt to load that first round using the slide lock lever release.... Most don't read their manuasl well enough or ignore kahrs recommendations... |

Why don't they back it better than that?

I have no issues with that. if ur gonna have any problems with a firearm, it will certainly happen with in 5 years, most of the time in the first year of usage, after that most firearms get fried less and less as time goes on. I am certain that ifyou have a kahr or whatever and out of warranty that if there was a recall by the factory, then time and warranty wold not play into the equation at all. It would be taken care of.. Do I wish Kahr had a lifetime warranty?? Like all, yes, but it is not my criteria for buying a particular weapon. I own two kahrs, one bought used and have never had one issue with any of them. they have a combined total of 23,000 round sthrough them, One polmer and one all steel. |
