Has anyone here ever dealt with PMC customer service? I have and I’m not overly impressed. I was shooting PMC Zapper 22lr out of my new Walther P22 and had an overloaded round come apart in the chamber. It kicked a lot harder than it should have, sounded like a centerfire and a lot of smoke came out of the gun. The chamber looked strange, almost egg shaped and the slide worked hard. I stopped shooting the gun and contacted PMC. I was told to send the firearm without cleaning it along with the ammunition I was using in it. I was also told not to send any parts that may get lost including no magazine. It was sent May 9th overnight. About a month went by and I received a phone call from PMC stating I needed to send in the owners manual because their gunsmith couldn’t figure out how to disassemble the gun. They also told me I now needed to send in a magazine so they could test fire the weapon. The items they needed were sent mid-June. About the end of July I started calling to find out the status and the most I was told was I needed to send in any remaining defective ammunition in so they could replace it. I couldn’t get a straight answer from anybody at PMC as to what was going on with my Walther. I sent several emails to customer service and never received a reply. I called a customer service a couple times a week and was always told everyone was busy and “give me your name and number and someone will call you right back”. Nobody ever called me back. Two weeks ago I sent a not so nice email to every department listed on their website threatening to report the gun stolen and enter it into NCIC. I finally received a return email with a phone number to a real person. I spoke with a woman who informed me all was good. She had found my pistol. The still hadn’t got a chance to examine it yet because they still needed a magazine & owners manual. I wonder what they did with the ones I sent when they asked me to? I told PMC to just return the pistol to me as is and they seemed offended that I wouldn’t give them a second chance to look it over. I guess six months in their possession just isn’t enough time. My 1st question is where does a company the size of PMC find a gunsmith who can’t take a pistol apart? I checked and it took me less than 5 minutes to locate the disassembly instructions online. 2nd question is what kind of shape will the gun be in after sitting uncleaned for six months? Any thoughts on what I should do now? I know I’ll never fire another PMC cartridge again. I have a lot of influence locally as I’m a Policeman full time and part time range master/firearms instructor that qualifies 4 police departments in my county. Every Dept. issues what I recommend for duty and practice ammo. I can guarantee there will never be any PMC on my range for qualification or practice. Sorry this is so long but I just want to let everyone know about my experience with PMC’s  customer service.
