When I grow up I want to be like Hobbs! Nice work! If I remember correctly, you used to use a friend's milling machine... Are you still doing that or did you ever buy one? BTW, are Heinies super tight? C&S put a set on one of my BHPs and I cannot drift the rear sight at all. |

My friend has a shop called The Weapon Works. He lets me use his stuff for machining, so I use his mill, lathe, etc. He's a great guy. The Heinies are only as tight as the cuts the machinist made. I find if I follow the directions perfectly, I usually have to file the sight down a little on the inside bottom of the rear blade and also the bottom front edge of the sight body. This is because I rarely use a brand new end mill making those cuts, though my dovetail cutter is in great shape. This makes for a tight fit than Novaks. |

There are some very nice HPs posted on here to say the least. I just picked up my first one a few days ago and I wanted to share. My photography skills are lacking and yes, that is a dirty gun cloth the gun is on. The gun looks like it was well kept, it's a T series and I was told by a friend that it is a late 60's model. I bought this gun to carry as an alternate to my 1911 but I think I will keep this one stock and buy another and send it off for some work for a carry gun.

I picked up a new one last week. It's about a '52.  Here's a late T series with a little wear.  And a mid '80s sort of transitional model. It has the firing pin block (like a Mk III), but the old style sights and a forged frame.  One of the CDNN pistols (best $400 I ever spent) and the HP I typically carry.  Finally, a HP with "dirty birds."

Came home for lunch today and the FedEx man paid a visit. This was in the box...hooray for me! She started out as a very rough surplus gun. I got her and 5 new KRD 17 rounders for less than $300. As typical with these guns it must have been carried a lot and shot a little because she shoots like a dream. But thats about all she had going for her. I sent her to Don Williams at Action Works in March for a reliability package and some much needed cosmetic work. Here are some highlights of what Don did...Enjoy!  I can highly recommend Don's work. Not only is he an artist, as you can see above, but he is fast and fair priced. And last but not least, a nice place for her to rest by my side...compliments of Rudy at Black Hills Leather.  |

I wish I knew more about it. I got it from a retired cop. He said back in the early '70s he got dispatched to an old lady's house to dispose of some guns. Apparently her husband who brought it back from Europe had died and she wanted them out. The cop kept the Hi Power, I don't know what the other firearms were. I bought the gun from him about 3 years ago. |

Some beauties in here. It's such an under rated pistol these days. I was raised on the BHP, always felt right and made the Inglis my first handgun purchase. The MKIII was bought when I got wise enough to realize I should stop shooting the Inglis.  For some reason I don't think that's the end of them...................

Been meaning to put a pic up with 'lil brother Anyone else get excited every time you click on "My Active Topics" and see someone has posted in this thread? Here is my Belgium Browning Hi-Power and my Browning Buckmark  And swapped the grips out to try 'em on. Came with the hi-power, I much prefer the looks of the wood, but wow, these feel even better. Probably partly because of the familiarity with my buckmark grips
