Hope this helps someone else before they spend their money.

Bought the PPS from SHOOT Straight on Gunbroker last week. It has a 2014 date code and is new.,
I took it to the range this morning for the first time. I'm blasting away without a problem. Then 123 rounds
into it the trigger locks up. I field stripped it at the range put it back together and totally fucked. Trigger
is froze solid. Shooting all factory ammo, no reloads.
It's under warranty and I will contact Walther Monday. Once it's fixed it's gone. I don't keep guns that fail
for no reason. If Walther is like the other gun companies I'm sure they will fix it but, not say what the problem
was.
I'm not bashing the gun or company and want no sympathy. Just putting this out there for your well being.

Some 2014 PPS had defective trigger bars.

I've got a PPS.  Had a couple FTEs while breaking it in...first 50-100 rounds.

1500 rounds later...not a single malfunction.  I run it hard and I clean it rarely.  No trigger issues.

Walther CS is pretty good from what I've heard...Best of luck.

Interesting. I also purchased a Walther PPS from Shoot Straight on Gunbroker, 2014 date code, new. I'm also in TX ha. I did purchase mine two weeks ago though.

I'm only 200 rounds into it but it has had no malfunctions so far even with my minor power reloads (actually all 200 rounds it shot were those reloads). It was quite accurate in slow fire and it was reliable. Ejection was better than I've seen with some Glocks - although if I completely loosened my grip the spent casings would go up and hit the back of my head, which I attribute to the strength of the recoil spring. No brass to the face though.

I hope Walther takes care of you, if I were in your shoes I would be upset but I would give the gun another chance. However I know we all have our own personal zone in which we're comfortable. Good luck!

I just got my PPS back from Walther. They replaced the Retainer is all it says.
I just got back from the range. I shot 166 rds of assorted ammo, Remington JHP, Tula brass case and WW white box.
No malfunctions and the pistol shot great Of course it shot great the first time until (retainer broke). I hope this fixes
it for good. Need another 200 rds thru it before I trust my life with it.

I have an older PPS not high mileage but maybe 1-1.5K I run about 50 rounds through it each range trip.  Only problem I had was my thumb on the slide stop not letting the slide stop lock the slide when I ran dry.

Mine's a 2009 production date, bought it used in '10 or '11 and ran 500 to 1k rounds thru it, no issues. Glad to hear they took care of you.
