Don't know about the mags question, but at least one company does make .40 to 9mm conversion barrels. (For the full sized anyway, I didn't check for the compact.) Fwiw, I've always had good results with their barrels, but I've never bought a Beretta barrel from them. |

The OD on the .40 barrel is larger, and the 9 barrel would need some kind of custom bushing to fit the 40 slide- probably why that conversion barrel (OOS) exists. I've tried it with the 9 barrel, and I wouldn't pull the trigger

It takes away some of the visual impact when you can't see it.
