What is the SA trigger pull on the P-07, and can it be lightened?

Thinking about picking one up, but I'm kind of a prima donna about triggers.

Cajun Gun Works is who you seek.

I think the trigger on the P07 is already smooth and light.  Even the double action pull is really smooth and light.  It is a lot better than the P01.  I personally think it is good enough the way it is.

They range, but many come in well under 4lbs from the factory. It can certainly be lowered with some CGW parts and polishing, but eliminating some of the pre travel will be what you will really want to do. CGW's hammer does a great job of that, as well as lightening the SA pull a bit more.

My P-09's trigger is at just over 3 lbs with the complete CGW Pro Kit and the 15lb hammer spring along with a lot of hand polishing.

P07 Trigger will get better as it gets broken in. Mine was good new but after a few hundred rounds it got even better

I have to say though that I think the design could have been better. The single trigger bar pushes out against the frame and because of this it adds friction. On mine it would actually push the frame out slightly. Keeping that area lubed helped.
I don't know if they made any changes in the later models. Any easy way to see this is to hold the hammer forward and pull on the trigger with the slide off. If you look down the edge of the frame you can see it push out

Pro tip - polishing the trigger bar and bending the trigger bar spring down a bit will lower you DA pull several pounds by itself. Aside from a lighter hammer spring, it's easily the best thing you can do to enhance the DA pull on the P series guns.

The double action pull is heavy and there's pre travel on every shot. So even if you ride the reset you have to deal with pre travel and that's the worst part and Cajun improves that.

My gun has a 7.5lb DA pull and a 2.5lb SA pull, and will set off any primer.

CGW short reset kit

18# hammer spring

DA roller

Reduced power TRS

...and I bent the trigger bar spring down a little to reduce some of the tension, stoned/polished some surfaces and put 2k rounds through it.

The replacement hammer might drop the SA pull a little bit, it definitely cleans up the pre-travel and breaks to be very crisp.
