| Was looking for a P345 decocker model. Hard to find. Upon cruising the Ruger forums, found that Ruger has elected to discontinue the decocker models on the P-Series. |

I just purchased a P345 from a shop here in Vegas. I pick it up tomorrow. It has the De-cocker option with it. I like the idea of having one. I know there are stories out there where ppl have meant to safely decock the hammer and had it accidentally disharge and had to replace a tv (a fellow co-worker of mine hehe) Good Luck, Snappy |
| Maybe shooting the tv wasn't an accident and the tv had it coming. I was looking at the P95dc. Anyone have any info. on them? I like having a decocker on my pistols. It makes more sense to me than trying to ease the trigger down with your thumb/finger,especially when you use it in self defense and your heart and mind are going a mile a minute. |
I got a new KP95DC at Gander Mountain a month ago for $320. If you look around you will find blowout pricing on them. The newer P95's have stippling on the grips to keep the slickness down. |
If you want the rail then you get the stippling. If you don't want the rail then you don't get the stippling. I have the older style sans rail and stippling. I like it. It is a workhorse and has so far eaten everything I have fed it. Most pistols that don't have a decocker are not meant to be decocked at all. For example there is no reason ever to drop the hammer on a live round on a 1911. If you get the model with the safety, it works just like that on a Beretta 92. There are a lot of people out there who just decock with the safety and pop the lever back up to carry it with the hammer down but the safety off. The only real difference is that levers don't spring back automatically. |
299 @ Bud's 289 @ Davidson's for a local, but with fees lil higher. Only paid 340- for mine 2-3 years ago. Right after the rail came out. |
