the SF-45-A is actually not a particular model, I know because I actually ordered single stack frames for my unit through that program and the flyer still said SF-45-A.

i have a limited p-16 and a p-14.  the 14 is alright, the 16 is the most accurate pistol i own!  the down fall is the reliability of the d s mags. other than that i really like them.  the p-16 is probly my favorate pistol to shoot.
the p-16 probly has 3000 rds through it, other than an occasional mag related ftf it's ran 100%
i had a warthog. it was a little finicky. i got it right and sold it. replaced with a kimber ultra cdpII . much happier now.

I have a para SF-45-A stainless from my last deployment. We chose the single stack so it takes any 1911 magazine.
The fit and finish is very nice but I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

I've got a P14-45 as my main carry gun right now and like it a lot.  It is very reliable, lots of firepower, and it fits my big hands very well.  Some people are just haters and don't like anything.

.45 will give you the least headaches since the gun was designed to feed it.   For .40 and 9mm you are going to want to load your own ammo since these guns like a longer cartridge than normal.

Ive got an 18-9 hi cap and love it.  The heft and feel of a 1911 with 18+1 rounds of 9mm.  Very accurate and smooth shooting gun.

I would look for something else.

i dig mine!  i have a hand me down p-14 stainless that i got from my father in law in a trade.  its my winter carry gun- because of the extra bulk in the grip- its harder to conceal in the summer time.

i love the ability to pack 43 rounds of .45 gold dot  in total concealment just to go to the grocery store!

i did put an ambi safety onit, and some novak night sights.

i run it in a bianchi model 82 carry lock pancake holster, with the matching bianchi double mag pouch.

i tend to favor my single stack 1911's- but ill never let the para go!

-btw, when i did have a minor issue with mine, customer service was fast, friendly, and sent me 4 free mags for my trouble!  -ymmv
