Well, I got bit by the tupperware bug again.  A shiny new G26 came home with me.  I went to the range this morning and found the typical boring accuracy and reliability I've come to expect from Glock.  However....My hands are a bit big for the baby G.  Anybody have an opinion on the Pearce or Scherer grip extensions?  I really don't need extra capacity, just a grip extension.  The 12rd factory extended mag looks good, but nobody seems to have them right now.

eta:  just found a few of the 12rd....wow, $33!

I like the pearce ext. on my G30
Matches the form of the grip.

Neither. They tend to pinch some users.

Give these a try.

This.  The GAP plates are outstanding.

I am having the same problem as the OP (with at 27) and while nice, those still don't give my pinky somthing to grab on to. What I would like to know, is which one is more reliable.  I know there have been some problems with aftermarket floorplates.

+1 Scherer.

I like them because the "pinky rest" is much larger than the standard Pearce extension....which is why Pearce came out with their "XL" line.

Perfect for me...YMMV

Hope this helps.

I use the Glock extensions I like the above all the others.  I have used Pearce and Scherer and did not like either.  The Scherer gave me feed issues.

the pearce grips match the pattern and plastic of the glock much better than the scherer. my G29 extension matches as exactly as if it was made by glock!

Buy some spare mags from CDNN and they'll send a Pearce extension w/each mag for free. If I can't get Glock extensions, then Pearce is at least a decent alternative.

Curl your pinky under the plate and grip with your middle and fourth fingers.  Try the GAPS if you can - the really do make the grip on these subs feel quite natural and you lose none of the concealment benefits of the sub.

I've had the Pearce on my Glock 26 magazines for a few years now and they have made a huge difference for me.

I use the Pearce +1 because I just needed a little more real estate to get my pinky on there. I have used mag extensions, but I figure if I am not restricted by law to a 10 round capacity and the extension takes up the same space, why not get an extra round out of thr deal? I can't picture a scenario in which I will say, " Dammit! I brought one round too many with me..."

I use the Pearce +0 extension on my 27.  Gives me just enough extra grip to control the weapon well yet still allows max concealment.  My spare mag I carry has the Glock +2 extension.  I don't use one on the mag in my gun due to the extra length and concealability issues.  I figured if I did use the Glock +2, I may as well just carry my 15-round G22 mag in the gun.  Length is almost the same.  I have not had feed issues with either extension.

I got some Scherer with my 26, I really don't like them. I prefer the Pearce but just have not gotten around to replacing them.

.....considering some of the shit on this site, it was probably a valid concern.  I've got a Pearce pg-26 on its way....we'll see.  Thanks for the info.

Have never tried the Scherer, but the Pearce +0 grip extensions aren't bad. That said, I prefer the GAP floorplate to the Pearce extension –– in fact, if anyone wants two Pearce +0 extensions, let me know.  Have a pair available for $15 shipped.

Are those Pearce +0 with the grip added, or are they smooth?
If they have the grip and you are looking for Shearer I could hook ya up!
