This is sort of handgun related, so I felt this was the best pace to post. The only longarms Indiana allows for deer hunting are shotguns and muzzleloaders. They are proposing to allow rifles that shoot certain pistol rounds. The rounds must have a minimum bullet diameter of .357" and the case must fall between 1.16" and 1.625". My question is: What rounds would fit the above criteria? |

Thanks, guys. I've also found out that the .458 SOCOM fits the bill at 1.575". The commentary about the proposed amendment mentioned pistol calibers, but the actual wording just says that the rifle must be chambered in a round that meets the above-posted measurements. Good thing, as I've never seen a .458 SOCOM handgun. |

Think of it as the 'handgun and lever-action carbine hunting bill' WTF is it with stupid crazy laws... Just allow any rifle caliber larger than .22Mag, and any pistol caliber 9mm and above, and be done with it... |
