OK, even though I have been ranting on about the Glocks lately, I have a Sig question for you Sig fans. I was told by a friend that a co-worker is trying to sell a Sig that is supposed to be in like new condition. I don't know the model number yet but it is supposed to be in .40 and have a spare .357 barrel. From what I am told the owner is asking less then $500. Even though I am a Glock fan, I am considering getting this pistol because of the price. So, do the Sig fans feel that this would be a worthy investment? |

There are a variety of SiGs that it could be, the 2340, the 239, the 226 or the 229. The 2340 is the polymer framed SiGPro, the 239 is the compact, the 229 is what SiG calls the personal size while the 226 is the full sized model. Anyone of them with the extra 357SiG barrel for under $500.00 is a great deal. The second barrel alone is worth about $150.00. |
| if you buy it, i guarantee this, when you shoot that Sig, you will either sell the Glock or use the Sig for primary carry. i just got rid of 3 Glocks and bought Sigs. just the fit, quality of manufacture and accuracy of Sigs got me sold. and i was a big fan of the plastic fantastic. |
I do think I will like the Sig, because I have gotten the chance to shoot several other Sig's before and found them to be great pistols. I am pretty sure that I won't change my carry gun because I chose the Glock for its simplicity of operation. I know I won't sell my Glock's either because I don't believe in selling my guns if I can help it. |
