Hi guys, In the last month I have started to get the bug to screw with my Springer GI. The first thing I did was replace the stock thumb safety with an extended version. This was my first attempt at dabbling in the field of gunsmithing and it worked perfect. Passed all tests etc. My next plan is to add a beavertail safety or find another way to cure the bite, (any ideas on wich brand) I know the radius is .220. I also plan on either getting a new hammer or bobbing the old one. Thinking about a wide style bobbed. No commander hammers !!! After that I need to replace the sights. I am not going to mill the slide, so I was wondering what are my options for the existing sight notches. (I have no idea how the front sight is attached) I'm looking for some three dot sights. At some point I may screw with the trigger/sear/barrel. Finally I plan to refinish this pistol with some Norrels grayish black. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks |
