Local gun store has a Colt Government 80 series .380 for $750.00.  Looks pretty good, got a scuff mark down toward the guide rod, finish is a dull silver coating. One magazine.
I am not familiar with 1911 types really and this looks like a good CCW.
Any thoughts?

The only "experience" I have with them is one that was evidence in a trial when I was pulled for jury duty.   It was jammed tighter than a drum on the third round.  Defendant got two rounds off at his wife before it locked up.  I guess it was a good thing in that case.

Buddy of mine has the same one.  Don't remember how much he paid for it but that price seems a little high to me.

Edit: Actually after looking at Gunbroker, that may not be a bad price.  I didn't realize those little things commanded such a premium.

I bought a stainless one from a fellow about 10 years ago, and have maybe put a box of ammo through it and really like it.

If we ever get so we can legally carry in this State, it would make a really nice carry/backup gun!

There's one here for $690 on a website for local p2p gun purchases and trades.
