Local shop has a used P229 Elite?
40 S&W
night sights
1913 Rail
2 Mags
$670

I looked at this pistol and it maybe has a box through it judging by the wear marks on the barrel.  The 250 I bought a few weeks ago looks like it has more rounds through it.

How does that sound?

I'm confused about the looks of this Sig.  It has the beaver tail like the Elite, but no front slide serrations.  Frame stamped "FRAME MADE IN GERMANY"

It has the regular plastic grip panels.

I've been looking through the Sig photo thread and have yet to see a Sig like it.

Does it say P229 ELITE on the slide? Nitron, Stainless or Two Tone?/

A new 229 Elite would run about $799.99-$899.99 depends on dealer. Sounds like a decent deal.

The prices you listed are a little low. I would say for the stainless model 960.00 and the Nitron a little cheaper. They do not make the two tone anymore in the Elite format.

It doesn't say Elite on the slide.  But, it does have the beaver tail frame.  Serial is AM 59 XXX.

I can't think of a pistol in that configuration since all Elites say P229 Elite on the slide. However, the Elite is the only pistol that came with a beavertail in the P229 series. Perhaps the original owner swapped slides and if this is the case I wonder how many other pieces are correct to the Elite. I would call Sig CS and ask them what gun that serial number goes with. Any pics, I can tell right away???
