So I'm sure most of you paroose gunbroker. I've noticed that over the last two months that 1911's are going for a good chunk lower these days.
I know ar's have dropped like rocks but most plastic pistols and revolvers are holding steady vs 1911's that are dropping by about 1-200 bucks. Good example http://www.gunbroker.com/item/650911986 |

So why are the polymers holding steady? And frankly pricing wise 1911s range from $500 to a butt load. Demand may be lower for 1911s currently which forces the manufactures/distributors to drop pricing IOT recoup investment costs. The good/big name poly guns all run around $400-500 anyways. in case you didn't know there's very little profit margin with new guns. The markups aren't as big as you might think. You can get better pricing from a distributor if you deal in very high volumes. |
| I remember during the big panic after Sandy Hook going into a big local shop who usually carried everything and then some, the only thing they had left on the shelves were hunting rifles/shotguns and 1911s, which was fine with me because I actually prefer 1911s to the polymers. |
