[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pro- Carry magazines????

I have recently purchased a Stainless Pro Carry II online and wanted to get a couple extra mags for it. My question is, do these pistols accept standard 7 rd 1911 magazines? From what I have seen, 7 rd magazines come in government and officer size. Also what is a good manufactuor of magazines beside kimber?
Any help is appreciated.

wilson combat

mccormick power mags

tripp research cobra mags

are the top 3 and have as many opinions, good and bad, one to the other,
I have had all three and had success with all three..and dont favor one over the other.

I used Wilson 47D mags in my Pro Carry II for five years with never a problem.

I really like the Tripp Research mag's. very well made no weld marks and a superior follower.

You are right, the Pro series guns use "Government" size mags. I like Wilson 8 round mags in my Pro CDP.

All my Kimbers(including my Pro Raptor II, based on Pro Carry) love Wilson and Chip McCormick Power Mags.

Pro Series uses standard Government/Commander magazines. Me preference is for with Wilsons.
