I recently purchased a Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 for my glock 26.  Its meant to  be a quick, run out the house set up.  Ive worn it a few times at about 12:30- 1:00 and it digs into the inside of my hip bad.  I cant stand it.  Am I doing something wrong??  A ton of people love this thing.

I was thinking about cutting the plastic piece where the lanyard hole is off.  I don't plan on using the lanyard.  Has anybody tried this, to see if its more comfortable??

I own one and carry with it from time to time.  I love the idea of appendix carry, but it just kills me.  If I am walking around, appendix is my position of choice, but if I have to sit, I just can't make it that long before pain takes over.

I tried for literally months to make this position work.  The one thing that did help was to wear my belt more loose than when I carry at 4:30.  Check out this link:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxdhA0Y1q9Y  Think what you like of the people that made the video, the concept saved the day for me.

I adjusted the holster on the middle hole.  Any more and the g26 is only in my belt about a few inches.  Im thinking its going to fall out.

yeah i keep mine in the middle too. maybe trying keeping the belt super tight, idk if that would help ya. mine usually feels like(and has) fallen out when i adjusted to the top for a higher ride height.

If you watch the video posted above, he says to wear your belt loose.  Wich seems to be opposite of all the laws of carrying a gun. Idk im going to try it.

Also Its a $30 holster.  Im going to cut the tab off and see if it helps me.  If not, I can add it to the rest of the pile of holster ive bought and not used or liked over the years

I find that carrying IWB subcompacts with ANY holster that isn't made for a longer gun doesn't quite work for me. The length of the slide isn't long enough to provide enough support to keep the gun in place.

I carry AWIB a G19 in a VG2 and I've never had any comfort problems, but I just couldn't do it with my shield.

Cutting the tab off might help, or you could return it and try out an ACR instead.

I tried cutting off the strut, it didn't help. The G26 is too short to be carried comfortably AIWB for me. I can carry a G17 AIWB in a VG2, no problem.

Wear that belt loose, let the front of your pants "sag" down a little bit. Seems strange for gun guys, but trust me it makes all the difference.

I bought a G17 size Blade Tech Nano and have found it to be FAR more comfortable than the barely G19 length AIWB I had before. Small guns and holsters dig in, longer guns and holsters find that comfortable spot better in my experience as well.

I find the G34 more comfortable than shorter Glocks to carry IWB, but it 's too long for me to carry AIWB.

Regarding the VGII, I know that there are people here who love them, but I could not find a way to carry with mine that was comfortable at all. Of course, I have yet to find a way to carry AIWB that wasn't annoying as shit either, so I'm just not mean to be that HSLD.

I've been carrying my m&p 45c with the vanguard 2 for a while and it's pretty comfortable. I ran across this post the other day and decided to cut off the strut last night. Feels even better! I'd recommend it if you have no plans on using a lanyard. Even if you do there is plenty of space for another lanyard hole up towards the top of the holster.
