I just replaced my 92FS poly trigger and spring with the steel trigger and Wolff reduced-power spring, and the trigger doesn't always fully return to its DA position when dry firing. When I dry fire and cock the slide while holding the trigger down, the SA reset is fine. I have a factory Beretta "D" spring and the Elite skeleton hammer, if that matters. Any ideas? Should I get the regular or extra power Wolff spring?

Before you change the spring, are you sure there's no binding or rough marks the new steel trigger asy is perhaps catching on? I believe I recall reading once that the trigger channel the polymer triggers were made for is a hair more narrow than the older ones with a steel trigger asy?
If that issue has been eliminated as a potential problem, how much lube are you running on the gun's guts? I always drop a bit of lube on the trigger to smooth things along. This is the first time I've ever heard of this sort of problem, FWIW. |
