| Looks clean to me. Ive never been a fan of polishing chambers myself. I just use a regular .45 cal pistol brush and a lot of patches. I don't think there is a need to get the chamber to look like new again. I've just used some sort of CLP and something in the copper remover category and my ugly chamber has never given me a problem what so ever. I've heard of people buying brushes made just to clean the chamber, but I think even the manufactures of these products say they can scratch your chamber up. I trade the scratches for a little discoloration. I might be wrong but I think the inside of the chamber and barrel are exposed to some very extreme heat when a bullet is fired and that is what causes this more so that "dirt". |
| Hes absolutely right. If you continually over clean your barrel you will wear it out a lot faster than it should. If it's really driving you nuts try getting some Flitz metal polish, put it on a Q-tip and go to town. I used to use it on my revolver cylinders. Worked real well on the front where you get the burn marks. |

It doesn't look 'dirty' to me...looks like the chamber might be just a tad short on finish quality..If you don't have any problems with function I wouldn't get too concerned...or I'm sure you can find instructions on how to polish the chamber online. +1 |
