What is the proper tool for removing the grip panel screws on a M9A1? It appears to be a torx? Anyone know the correct size?

Do you not have a Torx set already? They're required in a gunner's toolbox these days. Don't get a Harbor Freight set, get one from Brownells or Midway, IMO. Sears is okay too. Get the 1/4" drive set so you won't apply too much torque to a grip screw & snap it off.

But to answer your question, no, *I* don't know. All of my 92's came with flathead screws & I've swapped one out for allen head screws.

Good luck!

NO TORX! Its an allen head screw. A 2mm allen head wrench is required to remove the screws. Some say a 5/64 allen wrench fits better, but I havent tried for myself yet. Nice buy with the M9A1. Enjoy!
