This weekend I purchased an XD45 compact to replace my Taurus as my CCW gun. Unfortunately I purchased it in Maryland and wont be able to pick it up for seven days. My question is about night sights. The Trijicon sights (and all the other night sight manufacturers) state they will fit an XD45 but don't specify the Compact version. Are the sights the same on either model?
Are these something that someone with even a little bit of shop skills can switch out themselves? TIA |

TN68 Actually the Taurus PT145 Pro I have had for several years has functioned spectacularly. Eats anything I put in it without a single malfunction. The problem I have with it is the sights are fixed and I want night sights for my CCW gun. So the Taurus will become my home defence handgun with an attached light on the rail and the XD will become my CCW piece. |

XD is a much superior pistol IMO. I'm still hanging on to my Taurus as well...it retired from EDC to "upstairs house-gun" duty. TN68 |
