Is their any difference in the frame between the bull barrel version and standard bushing version ie, can a standard barrel and bushing be fit to a slide originally designed for a bull barrel?

dumb question I know but oh well.

IIRC, somebody else recently did some research into this and it would take a LOT of work to the slide to do it.

the slide has the cut out for fitting a bushing. all that needed is to fit the bushing and barrel.

I have read that it is still cut for a normal busing.  But I don't know, I bought a normal Operator.

Most slides are cut for bushing barrels but will work with bulls.  I would assume short of a complete custom build Springfield would just go with a bushing slide to save on having to make something special.  If that is the case just a new barrel and bushing fit and your GTG.

I've fitted bushing barrels on bull barrel guns before.   I have yet to see a slide that wasn't cut for a bushing.
