Are there states (local places?) where open carry is legal, but printing is illegal?

I don't know why but I thought of this the other day.

IMHO people get too hung up on "printing".

Some CCW holders go around trying to spot other CCW holders, but the average person does not, and if the average CCW prints lightly when moving, bending, over the average person is not even goign to notice.

Laws requiring CCWs to be concealed are intended to prevent any of the gun from showing in plain sight, so as not to alarm people, etc.  So unless you are wearing a skin tight shirt where your gun makes your shirt look like a molded holster, you're probably just fine.  Just use common sense and don't over think it.

Thanks guys for the replies. I forgot all about this thread for a minute there.

I personally don't have any concern about printing (I'm legal, and I don't think WI is a state with printing laws)

I just wondered how these two concepts overlapped, or if there were even areas that they did so.

I was very concerned about printing when I first started to carry.  But I have come to the conclusion that the vast majority of people will never notice unless the gun itself is exposed.  The average person spends little time looking at other people and would probably write it off as a cell phone.  The few that might notice are probably carrying themselves.

+1   Everyone is too concerned with staring at their phone to notice anything. OC is legal in many states, when I first started carrying concealed I was overly concerned about printing, I got over that pretty quick. Now I OC so it's a moot point.
