I am going to buy a Glock 19 very soon. My question is about the circumference of the grip. Does the Generation 3 have a bigger grip circumference than the Generation 2? |

For all practical matters they are the same, especially where your fingers rest. Some do not like how the finger grooves fit their hands, so they choose the 2nd Gen. I've got a 2nd Gen that I really like, but have also been eying a 3rd Gen. So I vote with just getting one of each and getting it over with. |
| Yeah, I have considered buying both. I like the finger grooves on the Gen 3. I have a Gen 3 in G21 and G27. I am getting the pistol for me, but also for my fiance to shoot. She has small hands, so I am considering buying a Gen 2 and having the grip cut down and stippled. |

I like the feel of my Gen 2's w/ pachmyer medium slip-on's w/finger grooves, better than my Gen 3's w/pachmyer large w/o finger grooves cut down to fit the G19! I've been thinking, as mentioned above, removing the Gen 3's finger grooves (via dremel tool) and installing the pachmyer medium w/grooves! The pachmyer grooves fit my hands a whole lot better than the factory grooves! IMHO! teamroper |

I've got a 2nd gen. G17 and a 3rd Gen. G19. They both fit my hand pretty much the same. The finger grooves seem to be in the right place for me and offer no interference that I'm aware of. Trigger ends up in exactly the same place on my index finger with each pistol. Everyones hands are different though, so I must be blessed with the average hand. When I got the G19 it had a Hogue sleeve on it. It just didn't feel right to me. I removed it and, voila, she fits just right. |
