Is there any real difference in the two??? Thanks

Front side serrations and sights for the most part.

I had both.  Figured they were really too similar to keep both.  Sold the RO because I liked the loaded more(mainly the smoother sights).  Nothing wrong with either one, but I like my Loaded.

FWIW, I still have 12 1911's and the Loaded goes to the range with me every time I want to bring a 1911.  It's just a good shooting gun.

I was led to believe that the RO had a slightly better barrel and was overall slightly more accurate.  A lot of people claim its a tighter fitting pistol.

I think the loaded has an ambidextrous safety and a FLGR? Don't remember for sure.

I wound up with the RO. I personally think ambidextrous safeties are a bulky inconvenience that complicates break down, I prefer the GI recoil system, and I really don't care for night sights.

Ar least one Springfield insider has said that the frames, slides, and barrels are exactly the same from the Milspec to the TRP. The only differences between the lot, are the options on the gun. I have no reason to doubt Rob from Alchemy Custom. I had a chance to compare a Mispec, RO, and TRP side by side, but without take down. I'd say they were pretty equal fit and finish wise.

You just have to weight what options are worth it to you. I've been happy with most Springfield pistols I have ever owned.

Well i actually own both and will say that the r/o has a much better trigger and adjustable sights. it is also more accurate.  if its a range toy its the r/o hands down.  If It was me considering using one for ccw or h/d work I would skip the loaded and hold out for the operator or marine operator for the rail and better trigger.

Oh ya and the two peice guide rod on the loaded sucks, it always tries to come apart. I replaced mine. and yes the r/o is much tighter in the barrel and bushing.  I have considered selling the loaded and upgrading to the TRP but just have not yet made the move yet.

Oh and the reason I have both is 2 different buddies bought them new and sold them to me "loaded first" for $500. and the r/o was a trade for about $500. with less than 100rds down the pipe of each. I just couldn't leave the r/o it shot so good and I wasn't using the scope I traded for it.

I have 2 ro's, one in 45acp the other is in 9mm.

As already said the ro is made for target work, it's allot tigher than the loaded.
If you want a cc or general 1911, then go with the loaded.
If you want accuracy, then go with the ro.

RO accuracy ='s right out of the box/no mods.

Keep in mind that the RO can step down easier for other uses than the loaded can step up. Some of my favorite plinking bullets/load for the RO. 225gr hp's/home made/swaged from old 40s&w cases with a p+ full house load of power pistol. Not bad, 225gr hp doing 980fps+recovered after going thru 7 1/2" of wet newspaper.

Something to think about:
That 10-shot group might look good on paper bbbuuuuuuuutttttt, that's nothing more than a target load that will hold the 10-ring on a standard b-2 nra 50ft target. 10-ring ='s .9"

overall for me RO > Loaded.

the fit was better with the RO ( 1 of 500) than any new loaded I saw in the GS at the time of purchase.

Thanks again guys, I have a FS RO already but was considering a loaded because I am starting to really get a 1911 itch again, the price on the loaded seemed fair and well I couldn't help but to at least consider it.
