I have a Gen2 G19 that is approaching the 4K round count. It is not giving me any problems but I think it is time to replace the spring. In the past, I have always used Glock factory springs on Glocks but I see so many options out there now.

So...

What recoil spring, make and weight do I want for a gun that shoots mostly standard power 115gr. FMJ at the range and carries 124gr. GD all other times? What about guide rod options? RELIABILTY is priority #1.

Thanks!

I'd go with stock.

I have a stainless rod I use in my G20 for heavy loads and swap springs for the .40 conversion.  I see no reason to change anything on the 19.

So you have close to 4k rounds with stock glock guide rods and zero issues....I think you answered your own question!!! STOCK

Go with the new factory spring that has the 1 on it.  They have a rigid rod inside and
are much better than your gen 2

Nothing wrong with a stock spring.
