Is it normal to have to rotate the extractor when removing or installing it?

Mine doesn't want to come straight out, I was wondering if this is normal or not.

None of the slide disassembly guides mention this, I just wanna make sure mine isn't bent or something.

Anyone else have to do this?

When you remove it check to see if the claw is hanging up on the breech face.

It depends on what caliber.

Usually a .45 extractor will slide straight back, whereas, with the lesser calibers, you usually have to push the hook over.
