Ok, so I finally got myself my very first gun in my life and went with a RIA 1911. It's an awesome weapon and really enjoy it.

I'm curious to find out when it was made and I've heard I can do that through a manufacturers web site searching the serial number.

I can't, for the life of me, find the RIA web site. It's my understanding that Armscor distributes RIA in the US but I can't find much help at their site either.

Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.

Right now, it says the site is down. This is the website of the importer of RIA pistols. They have a very good reputation for customer service.
