| I recently purchased a Ronin 9mm 1911. It came with one 9 rd magazine, so naturally I wanted to get some more. After some research I found some Wilson Combat 9 rd magazines on the EE. Looking at the Wilson site, they should work. They don't. The Wilson mags are shorter than the Springfield. I assumed, incorrectly, that a 9mm full size mag would be the same size regardless of maker. Does anyone have any insight on this? I'm not sure I want to buy a 10 rd Wilson and find out they don't work either. |

Which specific Ronin did you buy? You most likely bought a compact mag. They stick out like a 10rd mag does in a fullsize gun. I bought the Brownells 10rd mags for my RIA and have had no issues. I'm surprised a full sized magazine didn't fit a full sized gun. Not at all what l expected. Are you sure you didn't receive Compactn or Officer's, length mags instead? Unless the Wilson's have a overinsertion bumper on the front edge, that fit into the cutout in the frame. My 47D mags have them. Maybe cut them back a touch of that's the case. As much a tag for more info as anything else. |

There’s different standard sizes of 1911 frames. You got the wrong ones. Pretty sure with the exception of the EMP the Ronin is only offered in “full-size” aka government size grips These latest Mecgar mags have been great |
