Yes...............I see alot of folks doing it.

I myself will never do it to any of my Glocks.  While I may stiple grips, or things like that, I won't round the trigger guard.

I personally don't see a need for it...........and to me, that squared end of the trigger guard is one of the "anchor points", or "mold points", if you will, for holsters.

I agree, it probably won't make it less secure or stable in a holster, but just the same, it's a reason I won't do it.

That's just my rambling opinion though.........to each his own.

And from a technical perspective, OP, I admit you DID to a good job.  Looks like it was made that way.

Vini hit on what my question would be. Any issues with positive retention in some holsters?

Looks very well done!

Nicely done, but I see no need for it other than to make it look less like a Glock.  And as someone who seems to like carry guns that no one makes holsters for it seems counter productive.  One of the things I've found about Glocks that make my life easier is almost every holster maker on the planet can make a Glock holster.  Not to say your holsters won't fit any more, but any of them that use the trigger guard as an anchor or as a stop will no longer fit quite right.  But hey, it's your gun, if you like it that's all that matters.

Reshape the trigger guard so that the front angles down ala the Steyr M9, and you'd have my attention.

Gen2 G22s are everywhere. They aren't rare and won't be in our lifetime. Good job on the trigger guard. I still like that stippling a lot.
Here's my ruined Gen3 G19. Grip reduction by Bowie Tactical.(bought it that way) trigger guard by me. Dremel , fine sandpaper and some elbow grease. Mine's a little more squared at the front. I was afraid to take off too much material.
I have two holsters and the rounded trigger guard has no effect on them.

Looks good, now clean up that ugly mold line.

I have to say, I think Glocks look a lot better with a rounded off TG and I'm all for modifying Glock frames when it's called for but too me, this is one of those mods that looks good but is kind of pointless otherwise. I seriously doubt this would effect holster retention in the least?

So even thought it looks good and is easy to do and probably doesn't even have a down side, I doubt I will ever bother doing it?

Then again, threads like this do get me thinking about it again
