Just thought it would be cool to see them http://www.hunt101.com/watermark.php?file=549/32383Gun_pics_4.JPG |
| nice kp95dc. is that the hogue slip on grip? i just put one on my p95dc and don't like it--adds too much bulk so i am going to take it off. also what brand mag is that? i don't recall seeing any flushfit with metal floorplates. i bought some no-name brand 30 round mag. i had to bend out and file down the feed lips a bit but since then it has worked perfectly. i suggest buying one--scroll down. |
|
the mag is a ruger 15 round factory mag, but it is form 1987. I have a couple of generic 30rd mags did not need to file or reshape (triple K). the flush fit 17 rd stainless mag is my favorite from ramline. I don't like thier 10/22 25rd mags but the 9mm mags I have had no problems with. |
I had a MK1 like this, now its a new MK3... |
Here's my P94... They shoot well and have smooth trigger pulls, although this one I don't think has ever been shot, maybe 50rds, if that. I have 18rd flush fit magazines for it too... ![]() (photographer: nationwide) [oh, and its for sale |

Ramline used to make them for various handguns (I think the glock too).... Last I saw any was about 8 years ago, but not for Rugers. When I had my 1st P94DAO, before I sold it, I found two new mags (one blue and one stainless) during the ban at a small gun shop (circa 1995-1996), and paid a premium price for them just because they are rare.... (the stainless is still in original packaging) At the time, y could also find 17rd mags, flush fit, but they were a bitch to load. 18rd mags are smooth and easy to load due to their design. Only problem, one of them is so tight (the blue one) on that last round and won't fit. |
I put the Ramline mags on the EE... if you are interested... |

2 of mine. my redhawk and gp-100 these pics are old, so forgive the non-flashy style, not like most of the ones you guys posted. http://images5.fotki.com/v63/photos/1/179909/701141/P8220013-vi.jpg http://images5.fotki.com/v58/photos/1/179909/701141/357-vi.jpg |

(The Handall went on after this target) http://home.comcast.net/~bnoji/ruger/ruger.jpg |
I'm thinking about asking for a 22/45 for my birthday (AUGUST). What would you suggest, I think I like the look of the 4" barrel the best + it has adjustable rear site, or should I go for the 4.5" barrel w/o adjustable rear site. I don't know!!! |
NICE How do you like it? What kind of groups are u getting and at what yardage? Cost? Easy to strip/clean? Can you practice dryfiring it w/o causing damage? |
|
KCmojo, How do you like the P95R? I am trying to decide between one of these and a S&W 910, and like the Ruger alot..............I cant make up my mind
|
love it. maybe two inchesoff hand at 50 feet, way under an inch benchrested at 25 feet. I mess around with different stances and ranges, but she's obviously VERY capable. cost me 250$ new IIRC, 20 a mag. first strip clean is indescribably impossible. the manual helps about as much as a third leg would, but the guys at MarkII.org are great. After I got the pistol, I remmebered I had the book of kokalis' colelcted gun revierws and recalled he reviewed teh first 22/45 and so I looked up the reiew to see if he discussed the initial dissassembly. His opening line of that section 'take a deep breath and consider praying'. I don't know what the deal is with dryfiring rimfires, but I use snap caps. Either way a mag has to be in the gun and I'd rahter have one dedicated mag for snap caps/dry firing then to just pop an empty mag in. |

chapperjoe, what was the hardest part about getting it back together? My MKII wasn't too bad. The first time it took me longer to get the 7+ years of lead and grime out of it than to put it back together. Stupid bar in the handle behind the main spring kept falling down and locking against the frame, keeping the slide from functioning. Mine is a plain jane MkII, but I suppose I should post up a picture of mine. Just make sure you get the Ruger magazines. I had two off brand magazines and they didn't feed 90% of the time or lock the slide back. |
Well I sold a Glock and got a SW 10 years ago. Got the P95. Now the S&W stays in the safe and the Ruger always goes with me. I will qualify for my CCP with it. Accuracy is a good as I am. I can shoot decent groups all the way out to 50 Yards. Easier to clean. Love the Rail. The handall is a must for me. It in an Uncle Mike Sidekick size 15 an I am a happy boy. To quote myself; "Ruger P. Low cost (Buy lots of ammo w savings). Reliable. The A-10 warthog of handguns. No pilot wants it. Once they fly it you cant pry them away. They always come home no matter how many shots they take." |
WAY too cool. |
