Has anyone taken a look at these yet? Fondled one at the shop today, and seems like possibly a good carry piece, as its pretty thin for a 9mm with a 17 round magazine. http://www.downrange.tv/ruger/ Local shop I was in today had them for $439.00. Damn tempting! |
Looked at one ($409.00 ), I liked how it felt in the hand, very natural, the safeties in a good spot but a little small, mag release was a little low and the trigger sucks. If they came out with a smaller version say along the lines of a Glock 19 I'd be more interrested. |
I agree but I think the safety is in a bad spot or is just way to small. You have to break your grip to get to it. The trigger difinetly sucks. It is refreshing change from what they had but I would spend the extra $100 and get a Glock or MP. |

The shop I work for has one. It is a really nice pistol for the money IMHO. The trigger has really smoothed out drastically. My best friend also has one, and we have beat the ever living shit out of the thing. It just keeps on going and going begging for more. As of last weekend both of us have put over 10,000 rds through it over a period of a couple of months. He has shot alot more on top of that count. His trigger is pretty dang good for a factory trigger. I would carry the thing and not think twice about it. This is coming from a Glock, and SIG certified armorer. M500M |
My local shop has the SR9s for $399 But the MPs are only $50 more, I don't like either of the triggers too much, but since S&W is running that $50 rebate + 2 mags, that would make my decision....
