I have an XD45 and really like the gun, but would like a lighter trigger (I think factory is 5-7lbs/, I'd like 2-3.  Our local smith says he can't get XD parts.  Any recommendations & price ranges would be appreciated. - Shark

Check with Canyon Creek Customs, they charge around $135.

Thanks a1 - you wouldn't believe what a difference the word "custom" made in that google search, as my smith told me to google canyon creek and got pages upon pages of outfitters, trailguides, etc.

Check out the XD forums http://www.xdtalk.com/ for a guy who does them at his house. He's somewhere up north and I cannot remember his name for the life of me. He apparently does a better job then the previously mentioned company and has been doing it for longer. I talked to him over the phone several months back before I decided to sell my XD 45 for another pistol I've had my eye on. He's great people. Same price too.

Springer Precision has a dropin kit which improves the trigger pretty a lot..........
