While gingerly trying to pry the cocobolo SA logo grips from my Mil-Spec. I broke the left grip panel at the ambi cutout.

Sooo..I placed a call to SA's customer service to purchase a replacement set and after the woman I spoke with verified that the warranty was in my name, she placed my order with the parts department.

The only thing is that they will be sent out totally free of charge!

Nice...

Cool!

One thing *I* do with my 1911 grips for removal: remove mag, remove grip screws, insert finger inside mag well & gently push outward on the bottom of the grip panel.

I NEVER pry anything off of a 1911 anymore. Don't ask me how I learned this.

These grips were extremely tight on the bushings - that tried and true way had no chance of working (along with a few other methods I tried)

Well, obviously *I* wasn't there so I can't say much beyond that.  Glad to hear SA took care of you though!
